Cheaper cleaning services are typically uninsured, unlicensed, and less detailed. Allowing these services into your home puts the safety of your home, family, and belongings at risk. Our cleaning professionals are thoroughly screened, trained and vetted to ensure the highest quality service. The price of services at Future Tense Unlimited allows us to provide you with the protection you need, and the satisfaction guarantee you deserve.

How should I prepare my home for cleaning?

There are just a few things to do after you book your cleaning.

  • Pick up and put away any personal belongings such as toys, kitchen wares, clothes, etc. We use our judgment during the cleaning, and we don’t want to misplace your stuff!
  • Secure and/or put away any irreplaceable or precious items such as memorial urns, jewelry, cash, etc. Help us keep your belongings safe by placing any such items in spaces we won’t be cleaning.
  • Lock up or remove any weapons or hazardous items such as guns, needles, explosives, etc. Your cleaning professionals are not qualified to handle or work around these items in any way. Please help keep everyone safe by ensuring that anything dangerous is secured in a fully locked cabinet or removed from the premises entirely. 
What happens if one of my belongings is broken or misplaced?

If one of your cleaning professionals accidentally causes damage to any of your previously undamaged property, you will be informed of the damage on the date of the cleaning. If you believe that one of your cleaning professionals has unknowingly caused damage to your property, you must notify us within 72 hours of the completed cleaning, and a customer happiness representative will respond accordingly. Are your cleaning products safe to be used in my home?

Your cleaning professionals are carefully trained for the safe handling and use of cleaning products in your home. Most of our products are naturally-derived and non-toxic, however, certain harsher products may be used if they are more effective at cutting through heavy build-up. We understand that some families prefer that only naturally-derived products be used in their homes at all times, which is why we happily offer this service for a small additional fee.

If you would like us to use only naturally-derived products in your home, please select “Green Cleaning” in the “Extras” section of the booking platform. Your cleaning professionals will show up with a specialized set of naturally-derived cleaning products to be used in your home. Please note that these products may be less effective at cutting through build-up on various household surfaces, particularly those in bathrooms, kitchens, etc.

Do I have to be home during the cleaning?

In short, no. Your cleaning professionals are happy to work around you if you prefer to remain home, or we can simply enter your home with provided access and lock up when we’re done according to your specifications. If you do not plan to be home, just leave entry and lock-up instructions in the “Notes” section of your booking form. It’s as easy as that!

For best results, we recommend that you leave the home for the duration of the cleaning. Fewer people/pets in the home ensures that all surfaces and floors can endure minimal traffic during the process of cleaning, vacuuming and mopping. Plus, it just feels great to come home and see a big transformation!

Is it okay to have kids or pets at home during the cleaning?

Of course! Future Tense Unlimited Cleaning Team Members are always happy to greet your entire family with a smile and a positive attitude. We simply ask that you don’t leave them unattended at any time, as cleaning tools and supplies may be harmful or dangerous to children and pets. Future Tense Unlimited is not responsible for the safety or supervision of children or pets at any time. 

Please note that unconfined pets that are violent or aggressive may result in team members being unable to complete the cleaning at their own discretion.

What if I'm not happy with the outcome of my cleaning?

We try our best, but sometimes things are missed. Future Tense Unlimited takes the happiness of our customers VERY seriously. That’s why we are proud to offer a 100% happiness guarantee

First, please look for a Future Tense Unlimited Note Card in or around the applicable area(s), which may have been left by your cleaning professionals to indicate why a space was inaccessible. 

Second, please review your completed booking form and our service packages to verify that your selected package includes the missed area(s). 

If you still find that you are unsatisfied with the outcome of your cleaning, please notify us within 24 hours of the time of service. A customer happiness representative will be in touch with you shortly to schedule a FREE re-cleaning of the problem areas. 

Why didn't you clean certain surfaces in my home?

We understand that it can be frustrating to discover that certain areas of your home have been skipped when you expected them to be cleaned. Please review the following reasons this may have happened:

  • The area was inaccessible or unsafe, due to;
    • excessive clutter preventing safe or convenient access to a surface or space
    • heavy items preventing access to a surface or space (boxes, furniture, etc.)
    • locked door(s) without entry instructions on the booking form
    • existing damage to the structural integrity of the space
    • presence of a pest infestation
    • unsafe or unhealthy conditions on the surface or in the space (ie., flooding, biohazard, etc.)
    • presence of weapons or hazardous objects (guns, needles, explosives, etc.)
    • presence of excessively fragile or precious items that cannot be safely handled (ie., memorial urns, thinly blown glass, etc.)
    • etc.
  • The area was not included in your booking
    • Please review your completed booking form for details on what spaces are included in the cost of your cleaning. Some packages do not include areas such as closet spaces, inside of cabinets, etc. Extra tasks must be added to the booking form prior to submitting the form, or can be added at the time of service with price adjustment (time permitting).
  • The area was misrepresented on your booking form
    • If your home is discovered to be larger or to contain more spaces than what you indicated on your booking form, you will be given the option of either:
      • Cancelling your cleaning (you will be charged a cancellation fee of 50% of the total price), or
      • Allowing your cleaning professionals to clean what spaces they can, and skip the appropriate amount of spaces to be decided at their own discretion.
  • The area was otherwise unavailable during the cleaning due to;
    • Individuals in the home verbally instructing us to skip the area/surface, despite what may be specified on the booking form.
Why do my cleanings take more time on some days, and less time on others?

Future Tense Unlimited cleaning prices are bid-style prices rather than hourly prices, with the exception of optional hourly labor for certain extra tasks. Your cleaning may take more or less time on any given day based on many factors, including conditions in the home, the number of cleaning professionals present, the specific cleaning package you have selected, any extras you have selected, and more. 

Can I choose how many cleaners I want to clean my home?

Unfortunately, no. The number of cleaners arriving on any day is ultimately determined by the number of homes and depth of cleaning on the schedule, and we are unable to guarantee a certain number of cleaners at any time. Our cleaning teams generally include between 2 and 4 cleaners, but larger teams may be appointed for larger jobs.

How do I know that I can trust the cleaning professionals?

Your cleaning professionals undergo a rigorous screening process to ensure that we only send trustworthy, hardworking, honest individuals to your home. In fact, our rigorous screening process is one of the many reasons that Future Tense Unlimited is more desirable than a cheaper cleaning service. If you feel uncomfortable with any cleaning professional at any time, please contact our Customer Happiness Team as soon as possible. A Customer Happiness Representative will be in touch with you shortly to address the problem. 

Where's my stuff?

Your cleaning professionals are trained to clean all areas of your home without changing the location of your belongings. Sometimes, belongings on a surface may be stacked or re-ordered in the cleaning process, but will not be removed from the area. 

How much does a cleaning cost?

The price of the cleanings depends on many factors, including the size of your home, the number of rooms, the cleaning package you select, and any optional extras you choose. Will you send a different team for each cleaning?

Cleaning professionals arriving to each cleaning may vary depending on their availability. We are unable to guarantee specific cleaners on any given day, however each cleaning professional is highly trained to provide the same top quality, consistent service every time.

How does your service packaging work?

Future Tense Unlimited offers three different cleaning packages which differ based on the level of detail required. You can choose between our basic package, deep-cleaning package, and move-in/move-out package depending on your particular needs. Extras may be added on the instant booking page. Is Future Tense Unlimited licensed and insured?

Yes! We take your safety and happiness very seriously. Future Tense Unlimited is licensed and insured, which sets us apart from the cheaper cleaning services and gives you the peace of mind that you deserve. 

Do you clean larger homes?

Yes! Home sizing customizations are available on our booking form. Please note that homes larger than 5000 sq. ft. require an individual consultation. Please contact our Customer Happiness Team to book a cleaning for homes or spaces larger than 5000 sq. ft.

Can I cancel my cleaning?

Yes! Future Tense Unlimited allows free cancellations — just make sure to cancel 48 hours (or more) in advance. Cancellations within the 48 hour window will incur a fee of 50% of the total booking price.  

When will my card be charged?

One day prior to your cleaning appointment, a hold will be placed on the card you provided at check-out. The charge will only apply AFTER the service has been completed.

Is tipping okay / mandatory?

Tips are always appreciated but NEVER expected. Tips may be given in the form of cash at the time of service, or included on your booking form.

My bank statement indicates a recurring payment. Will I be charged again?

You will ONLY be charged for a full cleaning AFTER your service is completed.

What if I cancel my recurring service after my first cleaning?

Future Tense Unlimited provides a discount for recurring cleanings. In the event of a cancellation after your first cleaning, the recurring service discount will be reversed and the difference will be charged back to the card provided at check-out.

What can I expect after booking?

After submitting your booking form, you will receive an automated confirmation email including your package selection, extras, and any special instructions you provided for the cleaning. You will also receive an appointment reminder approximately 24 hours before your cleaning. Your cleaning professionals will arrive fully prepared within the window of time specified. If unforeseen circumstances prevent us from arriving within the specified window of time, you will be notified as soon as possible via your provided contact information.

How do I count the number of rooms in my home?

Future Tense Unlimited requires you to list every room in your home, even if you do not want us to clean certain areas. Our pricing model accounts for ONE kitchen and ONE living room per home. Office spaces, home gyms, storage rooms, recreational spaces, etc., should be counted as bedrooms. 

Do you clean vacation rentals and/or office/commercial spaces?

Yes! Future Tense Unlimited is highly experienced in vacation rental and luxury estate cleanings, as well as office & commercial space cleanings. Please note that vacation rentals and office/commercial spaces require an individual consultation.
